DMA Data Council Chair honoured at DBM Awards

Mark Roy, long-standing Chair of the DMA Data Council and founder of The Data Agency, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement at this year’s Database Marketing Awards. The event was hosted by TV presenter and journalist Beverley Turner in front of a packed audience at The Brewery in London.
From a standing start with a single employee business, Roy created one of the best know and most successful data marketing businesses in the industry and has been one of its brightest characters for over two decades. Through his work with the DMA, he has also long championed best practice throughout the industry and has helped put data and insight where it is today.
Also recognised on the evening was Sam Watts, Head of Analytics at Metametrics, who picked up the Rising Star award in recognition of what has already been a stellar career. A veteran of Lehman Brothers and Forsyth Partners, Watts had secured a position as the head of the analytics team at media giant Starcom Mediavest within five years of leaving university.
